We are visiting every St. Louis microbrewery to help highlight the variety, quality and fine spaces we have to enjoy a fresh beer in our fair city.
We stopped at Heavy Riff Brewing. at 6413 Clayton Avenue in The Clayton / Tamm Neighborhood.
This tasting room is located in one of the most vibrant sections of town, Dogtown. This brewery seems to perfectly encapsulate the vibe of Dogtown. It is a very popular destination for Zoo visitors as well.
The place has a rock and roll theme with beers named after bands and such.
The food is good and the beers are underrated. They make a perfect winter brown and an incredible peach IPA. The pils and lagers are tasty and fresh.
They recently expanded their outdoor patio which is wildly popular and quite welcoming. The landscaping and streetscape is perfect.
There is talk of them expanding their brewing capacity with a second locaiton in the North Hampton Neighborhood.
They currently contract much of their brewing with suburban brewery O’Fallon Brewing. So, cheers to Heavy Riff, do it yourself! Make it a St. Louis brand. Can’t wait to see them grow and thrive.
